Taking inspiration from the rich architectural heritage of Cork, participants will use drypoint etching and chine collé printmaking processes to create their own unique print of Cork. Drypoint etching printmaking is an intaglio print process using acrylic sheets and a printing press. This inexpensive, direct and beautiful printmaking technique can produce simple, strong images with emphasis on the texture and quality of line. Chine Colle is a technique used in conjunction with intaglio printmaking combining layered coloured tissue adding a new dimension to the drypoint process with beautiful results. Suitable for adults and young people 16+. Suitable for beginners and all artistic abilities!
